Torgelow is a town in the Uecker-Randow district, in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany. It is located on the river Uecker, 12 kilometers south of Ueckermunde, and 41 kilometers northwest of Szczecin.
 
Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania has an area of 23,170 square kilometers, but has only 1.7 million inhabitants, making it the most meagerly populated German state. The Baltic Sea's beaches and islands, as well as the several lakes in the interior, draw many tourists every year. There are two universities and numerous universities of applied sciences as well.
