Thalheim is a municipality in the district Stollberg, in the Free State of Saxony, Germany. It is located 5 kilometers east of Stollberg, and 16 kilometers south of Chemnitz. The Free State of Saxony is a federal state of Germany. It has a land area of 18,413 square kilometers and a population of 4.3 million, the tenth largest in area and sixth largest in population among Germany's sixteen states.
