Oberriexingen is a town in the district of Ludwigsburg, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany. It is located on the river Enz, 20 kilometers northwest of Stuttgart, and 13 kilometers west of Ludwigsburg. Oberriexingen is a small city in the district Ludwigsburg in Baden-Wuerttemberg. Oberriexingen lies in 190 to 251 meters height in the Enztal at the edge of the current mountain, between Markgroeningen and Vaihingen to the Enz.
Oberriexingen was mentioned for the first time documentary in the Lor Codex on 11th April 753. Around 1250 the place was raised to the city. The time of the municipality and circle reform in Baden-Wuerttemberg was in Oberriexingen a time of the fight for the autonomy. Both the combination with Unterriexingen and the incorporation after Sersheim were rejected by the local council and citizen assemblies and this denial was also implemented. This city borders the north on Sersheim, in the northeast on the city Saxonia home, in the southeast and the south on Unterriexingen and in the west on the city Vaihingen on the Enz.
