Germany is located in Central Europe and it shares borders with Denmark in the North, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and France in the West, Austria and Switzerland in the South and Poland and the Czech Republic in the East. Germany is divided into 16 states which are further subdivided into 439 districts and cities. Germany is one of the largest European economy and the third largest economy in the world in real terms, placed behind the United States and Japan, and fifth behind the United States, China, India and Japan counted by purchasing power parity.

Nidda is a city in the district Wetterau, Hesse, Germany at the Nidda River, with 18,400 residents. The commune Nidda is made up of the quarters Unter-Widdersheim, Ober-Widdersheim, Borsdorf, Harb, Bad-Salzhausen, GeissNidda, Ulfa, Stornfels, Eichelsdorf, Ober-Schmitten, Unter-Schmitten, Kohden, Nidda, Michelnau, Fauerbach, Wallernhausen, Schwickartshausen, Unter-Lais and Ober-Lais.

Hesse is a state of Germany with an area of 21,110 square kilometers and just over six million inhabitants. The capital city of Hesse is Wiesbaden while its economic centre and largest city is nearby Frankfurt am Main and the surrounding Rhine Main area. Situated in western-central Germany, Hesse borders on the German states of North Rhine-Westphalia, Lower Saxony, Thuringia, Bavaria, Baden-Wurttemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate.

Its principal cities include Frankfurt am Main, Wiesbaden, Darmstadt, Offenbach, Giessn, Wetzlar and Limburg in the greater Rhine Main area, Fulda in the east, as well as Kassel and Marburg in the north. The main rivers in the northern part of Hesse are Fulda and Lahn. It is a hilly countryside, the main mountain chains being the Rhon, the Westerwald, the Taunus and the Spessart. Most inhabitants live in the southernmost part of Hesse between the rivers Main and Rhine. The mountain chain between the Main and the Rhine is called the Odenwald.  Today, one can also learn about its history, from its earliest times and gain enthusiasm in its natural beauty and populace.
