Stadtoldendorf is a municipality in the middle Holzminden district, which is in state Lower Saxony, located in Germany. The population of the city was 5,986 in 2005 and an area 24.86 square kilometers. With an area of 47,618 square kilometers and nearly eight million inhabitants, Lower Saxony lies in north-western Germany and is second in area and fourth in population among the country's sixteen states of Germany.
