Germany is divided into 16 states which are further subdivided into 439 districts and cities. Germany is one of the largest European economy and the third largest economy in the world in real terms, placed behind the United States and Japan, and fifth behind the United States, China, India and Japan counted by purchasing power parity.
 
Stadtlohn is a municipality in the north-west of North Rhine-Westphalia, situated in Germany, part of the district Borken. The Berkel River flows through it on its way to the Netherlands. The city has population 20,639 in 2005 and an area of 79.06 square kilometers.

The city was founded as Lohn by Liudger, the first Bishop of Munster about the year 800. The name Stadtlohn literally City-Lohn is first mentioned in 1389 after the small town Nordlohn was secured by a moat, a defensive wall and gates and gained the city rights. The city has well-known Museums such as Railroad museum Stadtlohn and SIKU Toy-car Museum including sports clubs such as DJK Eintracht Stadtlohn, SuS Stadtlohn.       It is a city with endless recreational opportunities, rich history, and modern day luxuries.
