Rheinbach is a town in North Rhine-Westphalia, located in Germany. It is situated roughly 15 kilometers south-east of Bonn, a few kilometres away from the Eifel and has got a population of 26,500 citizens in 2005. It belongs to the Rhein-Sieg-Kreis district Landkreis, which belongs again to the adminsitrave discrict Regierungsbezirk of Cologne Koln.
 
Rheinbach is a centre for education and has one of the few boarding and private schools in Germany which is known as Vinzenz-Pallotti-Kolleg. It is also famous for its glasscraft, as after the war many Eastern European glass workers fled here. It now boasts a Glass Working Technical School and its own glass works museum. The footballer Markus Proll was born in Rheinbach.

Rheinbach is definitely one of the popular tourist attractions in Germany. It is worth paying a visit while touring the country. This place leaves a pleasing and unforgettable memory and justifies the proud cultural tradition of Germany.
