Remda-Teichel is a municipality in the district of Saalfeld-Rudolstadt, in Thuringia, Germany. It is located 15 kilometers northwest of Saalfeld, and 28 kilometers southeast of Erfurt. Remda Teichel is a city and a unit municipality in Thuringia. It lies in the northwest of the district Saalfeld Rudolstadt at the border to the Ilm circle and to the district Weimar country. The Free State of Thuringia lies in central Germany, being eleventh in size with an area of 16,200 square kilometers and twelfth most crowded with 2.45 million inhabitants. The capital is Erfurt.
