Muhlheim an der Donau is a town in the district of Tuttlingen in Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany. It is situated on the Danube, 7 kilometers northeast of Tuttlingen. Presently, the largest part of the city is on the right of the Danube, the city Muhlheim took its beginning on the left of the Danube, in the old part of town in such a way specified. There a waterspring donated itself the whole year over enough water for the drive of millwheels and for the following settlement. The Romanesque architecture imperium watermills can be proven there, which gave the name to the place.

The timber framed Gothic city hall has been a listed historical monument since 1928. The earliest known written record dates to 1512, but a Romanesque capital is believed to date from around 1200. The castle was first built around 1200 and was reconstructed in its present form in the mid 18th century. The Gallus church is Muhlheim's cemetery church. Parts of the building are Romanesque and date from the 10th and 11th centuries. Its interior has frescos from the 14th and 15th centuries. The yellow rock offers a fantastic view on the meandering Danube valley.

It is also said the place of best geographical environment and can trace its origins back to prehistoric times. Muhlheim an der Donau, justifiably so, enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers, and is one of the most visited places.
