Maxhutte Haidhof is a town in the district of Schwandorf, in Bavaria, Germany. It is situated 21 kilometers from north of Regensburg. The Free State of Bavaria with an area of 70,553 square kilometers or 27,241 square miles and 12.4 million inhabitants, forms the southernmost state of today's Germany. Its capital is Munich. Bavaria shares international borders with Austria and the Czech Republic as well as with Switzerland. The major cities in Bavaria are Munich, Nuremberg, Augsburg, Regensburg, Wurzburg, Ingolstadt, Furth and Erlangen.

Schwandorf is a district in the east part of Bavaria, Germany. Its neighboring districts are Cham, Regensburg, Neumarkt, Amberg Sulzbach, Neustadt and the Czech Plzen Region. The main rivers of the district are the Naab and the Regen. The district was created in 1972 by merging the previous districts Burglengenfeld, Oberviechtach, Nabburg, Neunburg vorm Wald, and the previously district-free city Schwandorf.
