Germany is one of the largest European economy and the third largest economy in the world in real terms, placed behind the United States and Japan, and fifth behind the United States, China, India and Japan counted by purchasing power parity.
Versmold is a town and municipality in Gutersloh district in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is located some 30 kilometers west of Bielefeld. Belonging to Westphalia, Versmold formed the western most town of the historical county of Ravensberg with its capital Bielefeld. North Rhine-Westphalia has over 18 million inhabitants, contributes about 22 percent of Germany's gross domestic product and comprises a land area of 34,083 square kilometers. North Rhine-Westphalia is situated in the Western part of Germany and shares borders with Belgium and the Netherlands. As in many small German towns part of its modern history had become a visible expression within the Versmold cityscape.
