Mahlberg is a town in the Ortenaukreis, in the western Baden-Wurttemberg in Germany. It is located 8 kilometers southwest of Lahr. Baden-Wurttemberg is a state of the Federal Republic of Germany in the southwest region of the country to the east of the Upper Rhine. It has the third largest area and population among the country's sixteen states, with an area of 35,742 kilometers and 10.7 million inhabitants. Its capital is Stuttgart and its main cities are Stuttgart, Mannheim, Karlsruhe, Freiburg, Heidelberg, Heilbronn, Ludwigsburg, Ulm, Tubingen, Pforzheim and Reutlingen.
