Walldurn is a town in the Neckar Odenwald district, in Baden Wurttemberg, Germany. It is situated 23 kilometers from southwest of Wertheim. Baden Wurttemberg is a state of the federal republic of Germany in the southwestern part of the country to the east of the Upper Rhine. It is third largest in both area and population among the country's sixteen states, with an area of 35,742 square kilometers and 10.7 million inhabitants. The state capital is Stuttgart.

Neckar Odenwald Kreis is a district in the north of Baden Wurttemberg, Germany. Its neighboring districts are Main Tauber Kreis, Hohenlohe, Heilbronn, Rhein Neckar Kreis and the district Odenwaldkreis in Hesse. Neckar Odenwald Kreis belongs to the Rhine Neckar area. The district was created in 1973 by merging the previous districts Buchen and Mosbach. Walldurn, due its various places of interest is one of the most visited places. It is also said the place of best geographical environment and can trace its origins back to prehistoric times.
