Waldmunchen is a town in the district of Cham, in Bavaria, Germany. It is situated near the border with the Czech Republic, which is 18 kilometers from north of Cham and 18 kilometers from southwest of Domazlice. The free state of Bavaria, with an area of 70,553 square kilometers and 12.4 million inhabitants, forms the southernmost state of today's Germany. Its capital is Munich.

Cham is a district in Bavaria, Germany. It is bounded by the districts of Regen, Straubing Bogen, Regensburg and Schwandorf and by the Czech Plzen Region. The district is located in the northern parts of the Bavarian forest. It is situated within the borders of the upper Bavarian forest Nature Park. Due to its many historic events and places it has been one of the favorite destinations of visitors.
