Kusel is a town and a municipality in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, capital of the district of Kusel. It is situated approximately 30 kilometers north-west of Kaiserslautern. Rhineland-Palatinate is one of 16 Bundesländer of Germany. It has an area of 19,846 square kilometers and about four million inhabitants. The capital is Mainz. Kusel is also the seat of the Verbandsgemeinde Kusel, which consists of the Ortsgemeinden are Albessen, Blaubach, Dennweiler-Frohnbach, Ehweiler, Etschberg, Haschbach am Remigiusberg, Herchweiler, Korborn, Konken, Kusel etc.
 
Kusel is also known as the town of best geographical environment and has traced its origins back to prehistoric times. Today, one can also learn about its history, from its earliest times and can also enjoy its natural beauty concealed by the beautiful landscapes.
