Loitz is a municipality in the district of Demmin, in Mecklenburg Western Pomerania, Germany. It is located on the river Peene, 10 kilometers from northeast of Demmin and 22 kilometers from southwest of Greifswald. Mecklenburg Western Pomerania is a state in northern Germany. It has an area of 23,170 square kilometers, but has only 1.7 million inhabitants, making it the most lightly populated German state. The Baltic Sea's beaches and islands, as well as the many lakes in the interior, draw many tourists every year.

A city known for its historic myths and traditions, scenic beauty, cooperative people and luxurious hotels and cottages, Loitz is one of the favorite holiday destinations for most of the vacation lovers.
