Lauingen is a town in the district of Dillingen, which is in the state of Bavaria, located in Germany. It is located on the left bank of the Danube, 5 kilometers west of Dillingen, and 37 kilometers northeast of Ulm. The Free State of Bavaria has an area of 70,553  square kilometer and 12.4 million inhabitants, forms the southernmost state of today's Germany. Its capital is Munich.
