Lauchheim is one of the popular destinations in Germany, and is well known for the quantity of cultural related attractions and monuments. It is a town in the Ostalbkreis district of Baden-Wurttemberg state and is situated on the banks of river Jagst, 12 kilometers northeast of Aalen. Baden-Wurttemberg is a state of the Federal Republic of Germany in the southwestern part of the country to the east of the Upper Rhine. It is third largest in both area and population among the country's sixteen states, with an area of 35,742 square kilometers and 10.7 million inhabitants.
Like some of its sister municipalities and towns in the Ostalbkreis, Lauchheim is blessed with beautiful surroundings and a unique natural setting. The picturesque scenery, the majesty of the mountains, the slow pace of life, and the welcoming nature of its people all combine to make this region one of the most important tourist attractions in Germany.
