Landstuhl is a town and a municipality in the district of Kaiserslautern, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Rhineland-Palatinate is one of 16 Bundeslander of Germany. It has an area of 19,846 square kilometers and about four million inhabitants. Its capital is Mainz. Rhineland-Palatinate borders on North Rhine-Westphalia, Hesse, Baden-Wurttemberg, France, Saarland, Luxembourg and Belgium. Landstuhl is situated on the north western edge of the Pfalzer Wald, approximately 10 kilometers west of Kaiserslautern. It is perhaps best known because of the installation of United States military personnel. The Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, a U.S. Army Medical Command post, is often the first stop for American casualties leaving the ongoing conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Landstuhl is also the seat of the Verbandsgemeinde is collective municipality. Landstuhl, consists of local municipalities namely Bann, Hauptstuhl, Kindsbach, Landstuhl, Mittelbrunn and Oberarnbach. Landstuhl can also be considered as the preeminent, historical and potential tourism destination that enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers to become one of the most visited places.
