Immenstadt is one of the popular destinations in Germany, and is well known for the quantity of cultural related attractions and monuments. It is a small town in the Upper Allgau, far southern region of Bavaria, in the Alps. It is also called as Immenstadt im Allgau meaning Immenstadt in the Allgau to differentiate it from the likewise named town of Immenstaad on Lake Constance. The town has a total population of 14,317 inhabitants and is twinned with Wellington, Somerset, England, and Lillebonne in France.
 
Like some of its sister municipalities and towns in the Upper Allgau, Immenstadt is blessed with beautiful surroundings and a unique natural setting. The picturesque scenery, the majesty of the mountains, the slow pace of life, and the welcoming nature of its people all combine to make this region one of the most important tourist attractions in Germany.
