Hettingen is one of the popular destinations in Germany, and is well known for the quantity of cultural related attractions and monuments. It is a town in the district of Sigmaringen of the Baden-Wurttemberg state. Baden-Wurttemberg is a state of the Federal Republic of Germany in the southwestern part of the country to the east of the Upper Rhine.
 
Baden-Wurttemberg is the third largest state, both in area and population among the country's sixteen states. It has a total area of 35,742 square kilometers and 10.7 million inhabitants. The state is surrounded by Switzerland to the south, France to the west, German states of Rhineland-Palatinate to northwest, Hesse to the north and Bavaria to the east.
 
Like some of its sister municipalities and towns in the Sigmaringen, Hettingen is blessed with beautiful surroundings and a unique natural setting. The picturesque scenery, the majesty of the mountains, the slow pace of life, and the welcoming nature of its people all combine to make this region one of the most important tourist attractions in Germany.
