Creglingen is a town in the Main-Tauber district, in Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany. It was founded by the Celts, who also farmed the surrounding plateaus and valleys. The town was however named after prince crago, the crow a member of the alamanni in the late fourth or early fifth century. In 1349 Creglingen received the town charter from the German Kaiser Karl IV. Baden-Wutemberg is a state of the federal republic of Germany in the southwestern part of the country to the east of the upper Rhine. It is third largest in both area and population among the country's sixteen states, with an area of 35,742 square kilometers and 10.7 million inhabitants. The state capital is Stuttgart.
 
Creglingen, due its various places of interest is one of the most visited places. It is also said the place of best geographical environment and can trace its origins back to prehistoric times.
