Bedburg is a town in the Rhein-Erft-Kreis, North Rhine-Westphalia of Germany. The town is documented as existing in 893 and has a population of about 25,000 inhabitants. The Rhein-Erft-Kreis is a district in the west of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Its neighboring districts are Neuss, district-free Cologne, Rhein-Sieg, Euskirchen, and Duren. North Rhine-Westphalia has over 18 million inhabitants, and contributes about 22 percent of Germany's gross domestic product and comprises a land area of 34,083 square kilometers. North Rhine-Westphalia is situated in the Western part of Germany and shares borders with Belgium and the Netherlands.
