Abenberg is a municipality in the district of Roth, in Bavaria, Germany. It is situated 9 kilometers west of Roth bei Nurnberg and 25 kilometers southwest of Nuremberg. The city Abenberg 1071 for the first time documentary mentioned as Abinberch among emperors Heinrich II. After the Second World War, in 1945-1947, Abenberg becomes the homeland of 600 selling from the Sudetenland, ore mountains, Schlesien, Pommern, East Prussia and German settlement areas in east and South-east Europe.
