Germany is located in Central Europe and it shares borders with Denmark in the North, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and France in the West, Austria and Switzerland in the South and Poland and the Czech Republic in the East. Germany is one of the largest European economy and the third largest economy in the world in real terms, placed behind the United States and Japan, and fifth behind the United States, China, India and Japan counted by purchasing power parity.
 
In 1952, Troisdorf became a free city. In 1969 the urban area got extended with the township of Sieglar and the villages Altenrath and Friedrich-Wilhelms-Hutte. Its total population in the year 1969 was about 51,000. The first colonization goes back to the 9th and 10th century with the first churches build around 700 in Bergheim. Troisdorf is a town in Germany, in the Bundesland of North Rhine-Westphalia, located 22 kilometers south of Cologne and 13 kilometers north east of Bonn. Its total area is about 62,17 square kilometers. It is a part of the Rhein-Sieg-Kreis or district.
 
Troisdorf, justifiably so, enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers, and is one of the most visited place. It is also said the place of best geographical environment and can trace its origin back to prehistoric times. Presently, Troisdorf experiences a sharp social, economic and population growth derivative of the strategic position of the locality and the high level of well-being and quality of life that is enjoyed with respect to other places of Germany.
