Oberursel




Germany is located in Central Europe and it shares borders with Denmark in the North, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and France in the West, Austria and Switzerland in the South and Poland and the Czech Republic in the East. Germany is divided into 16 states which are further subdivided into 439 districts and cities. Germany is one of the largest European economy and the third largest economy in the world in real terms, placed behind the United States and Japan, and fifth behind the United States, China, India and Japan counted by purchasing power parity.
 
Oberursel is a municipality in Germany. It is located to the north west of Frankfurt am Main and is the second biggest city in the county of Hochtaunuskreis and the 14th largest town in Hesse. Oberursel city has an area of 45.31 square kilometers. In 2005, the population of the city was 43,149. The town was first mentioned as Ursella in 791 in a deed recording a donation to the monastery Lorsch.
 
To the north Oberursel borders with Schmitten, to the east with Bad Homburg, to the south-east with Frankfurt am Main, to the southwest with Steinbach and to the west with Kronberg. In addition, the town centre Oberursel is divided into the districts Oberstedten, Stierstadt and Weibkirchen. Oberursel is the kind of town you daydream about. It is a city with endless recreational opportunities, rich history, and modern day luxuries.
