Neu-Ulm is a town in Bavaria, capital of the district Neu-Ulm. The neighboring of the city are Ulm, Senden, Pfaffenhofen, Holzheim, Nersingen and Elchingen. The population of the city is 51,110 as of June 30, 2005. The history of Neu-Ulm begins with the change of the sovereignty over the city of Ulm from the Kingdom of Bavaria to the Kingdom of Wurttemberg in the year 1810. The fixing of the boundaries took place in the middle of the Danube River. The possessions right-side the Danube remained under Bavarian sovereignty.
