Ibbenburen is a town and municipality in Steinfurt District in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is located close to the Mittelland canal and the Dortmund-Ems Canal, at the western end of the Teutoburg Forest, some 20 km east of Rheine and 25 km west of Osnabruck.
