Germany is located in Central Europe and it shares borders with Denmark in the North, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and France in the West, Austria and Switzerland in the South and Poland and the Czech Republic in the East. The North Sea and the Baltic Sea represent additional National Borders in the North. The official language of Germany is German and Berlin is the capital. The climate is quite pleasant with almost all variety of seasonal flavors as temperate, marine, cool, cloudy, wet winters and summers, occasional warm, tropical foehn wind and high relative humidity.
 
Germany is divided into 16 states which are further subdivided into 439 districts and cities. Germany is one of the largest European economy and the third largest economy in the world in real terms, placed behind the United States and Japan, and fifth behind the United States, China, India and Japan counted by purchasing power parity.
 
Halberstadt is a city in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt, capital of the district of Halberstadt. It was first mentioned in 814 and was a popular trade point in the 13th century to 14th century. It was annexed by Brandenburg in 1648. The city was harshly damaged in World War 2, however retains many significant historic buildings and much of its ancient towscape. Notable places in the city include the St. Stephen Cathedral and Liebfrauenkirche, churches built in the 13th century and 12th century, in that order. One of the town's brightest stars was Berend Lehmann, who brought new life to the society.
 
A building known as the Klaus was where many imperative students of the Talmud and rabbis were taught and gave the city the status of being an important centre for the study of the Torah. Today the Moses Mendelssohn Academy is based there which organizes exhibitions, congresses and presentations and provides a wide range of information about the Jewish culture and their way of life.
 
A city known for its historic myths and traditions, scenic beauty, luxurious hotels and cottages, Halberstadt is one of the favorite holiday destinations for most of the vacation lovers.
