Gronau is a town and a municipality in the district of Borken in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is situated near the border with the Netherlands, approximately 10 kilometers to the east of Enschede. One prominent personality from Gronau is the artist Udo Lindenberg. The rock and pop museum from Gronau is only one of its kinds in the European region.
 
The city’s population was 45,845 as per 2004, total land area is 405,15 square kilometers, population density is 583 per square kilometer and the city is elevated at 118 meters. A city known for its historic myths and traditions, scenic beauty, luxurious hotels and cottages, Gronau is one of the favorite holiday destinations for most of the vacation lovers.
