Stuttgart: The Greenest City of Europe!

Stuttgart, the capital of Baden-Württemberg, is a city located to the southwest of Germany. With a population of 590,774 inhabitants, it is home of worldwide renown automobile companies, state-of-the-art research and science facilities as well as outstanding art collections. Two things characterized this place: its greenish landscapes and its mineral source of water, which is the largest source in Western Europe. The climate, on the other hand, is warm during summer and mild on winter. The city was previously a stud farm named Stutengarten. It received the status of city in the 13th century. In addition, this city, as many other German places, was damaged during the Second World War. Since 1952 Stuttgart is the Capital of Baden-Württemberg.

Something positive about this place is that you do not have to worry about transportation. The Stuttgart international airport is served by many international and domestic airlines. It will take you just 30 minutes to go downtown from the airport by train. Public transportation is much cheaper. Other options you have are taxis or car rental. However, you should take advantage of bicycles rides and the facilities the city offers for bicycling. Some of the places worth it to visit are Carl Zeiss Planetarium, Lapidarium Park, Mercedes-Benz Museum, Schloss Rosenstein Museum and Staatsgalerie Art Gallery.

The range of places where you can eat is also diverse: from comfortable pubs with really affordable prices to slick and sophisticated restaurants. Enjoy the traditional German cuisine with one of the best beers of the world. During night time, you can go to different clubs and discos such as Club Prag, bars as Palast der Republik or, if you prefer, go to the Staatstheater and take pleasure in one of the ballet, orchestral, theater or opera performances. Its welcoming and easy-going inhabitants are waiting for you to enjoy with them the beauties this city offers.
