Weiden is a district-free municipality in Bavaria, Germany. A branch of the German Army's NCO, Non Commissioned Officers Academy is located there. In 2004, the population of the city was 42,775 and an area of 68.5 square kilometers. In the city there are historical buildings such as St. Josef, Marktplatz, Altes Rathaus, Stadtpfarrkirche St. Michael, Alte Stadtmauer, St. Sebastian Kirche and International Ceramic Museum, City Museum.
 
Tourism in Germany has expanded since the end of World War II, and many tourists visit Germany to experience a sense of European history. The countryside exhibits a pastoral aura, while its cities exhibit both a modern and classical feel.
