Olsberg is one of the popular destinations in Germany, well known for its beautiful countryside and the quantity of cultural related attractions. It is a town and a municipality in the Hochsauerland district, which is in the North Rhine-Westphalia state. It is situated on the river Ruhr, approximately 15 kilometers to the east of Meschede.
 
Olsberg is also marked by many historical attractions that include salient buildings of neoclassical, modernist, noucentrist and simply eclectic styles. Recent investments attracted by the climate, soil, and altitude combination have transformed Olsberg into most important regions.

Presently, Olsberg experiences a boom with day tourists, owing to the clear air, town character with rich culture, high quality of life and conspicuously original history. The picturesque scenery, the majesty of nature, the slow pace of life, and the welcoming nature of its people also combine to make this region one of the most important tourist attractions in Germany.
