Germany is located in Central Europe and it shares borders with Denmark in the North, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and France in the West, Austria and Switzerland in the South and Poland and the Czech Republic in the East. The North Sea and the Baltic Sea represent additional National Borders in the North. The official language of Germany is German and Berlin is the capital.
 
Ohringen is one of the popular destinations in Germany, and is well known for the quantity of cultural related attractions and monuments that the city has embraced. Its topographical location reveals it to be the part of Hohenlohe district in the state of Baden-Wurttemberg. Ohringen is also the largest city in Hohenlohe with a total population of 22,672 inhabitants as of March 2005.
 
Ohringen is a charming medieval place, and among its ancient buildings, boasts a fine Evangelical church named as Stiftskirche, containing carvings in cedar-wood of the 15th century and several interesting tombs and monuments. There is also a Renaissance town hall, now used as a library, which formerly belonged to a monastery, erected in 1034. The medieval market place of Ohringen is the heart piece of the city where one can see the castle of Hohenlohe known as Hohenlohische Schloss.
 
Other churches in Ohringen include the Spitalkirche Saint Anna und Elisabeth Evangelical that was built in 1376 and the Graveyard Church Stanna, built in 1520. Other attractions include the Obere Gate built in 1792, the old Deanery, the guesthouse of the Roman Emperor and the Yellow Castle.

Like some of its sister municipalities and towns, Ohringen is blessed with beautiful surroundings and a unique natural setting. The picturesque scenery, the majesty of nature, the slow pace of life, and the welcoming nature of its people all combine to make this region one of the most important tourist attractions in Germany.
