Storkow is a town in the Oder-Spree district, in Brandenburg, Germany. It is situated 15 kilometers southwest of Furstenwalde. Its total population was 9,517 in 2005. The villages that were incorporated into Storkow in 1993 included Alt-Stahnsdorf, Bugk Gorsdorf, Grob Eichholz, Grob Schauen, Karlslust, Kehrigk, Kummersdorf, Limsdorf, Neu Boston, Philadelphia, Rieplos, Selchow, Schwerin, Wochowsee and Wolfswinkel. Brandenburg is one of Germany's sixteen Bundeslander that is federal states. It lies in the east of the country as it is one of the new states created in 1990 upon the reunification of the former West Germany and East Germany.
