Nebra is a small town in the district of Burgenlandkreis of Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. As of 2001, it had a population of 2,855 inhabitants. The city is possibly most well-known because of the Nebra skydisk, which was found close to the city in the year 1999, but it only became public in 2002 when the finders tried to put it up for sale and were detained.
 
Saxony-Anhalt is one of the sixteen Bundeslander that is federal states that make up the Federal Republic of Germany. It has an area of 20,447 square kilometers and a population of 2.6 million inhabitants. Its capital is Magdeburg.
