Rheinau Baden is a town in southwestern Baden-Wurttemberg state, located in Germany and is part of Ortenau County. The city had a population of 11,006 inhabitants in December 31, 2004 and has a total area of 73.43 square kilometers. The city of Rheinau was created during the Baden-Wurttemberg district reform in 1975 through the combination of the formerly independent communities namely Freistett, Helmlingen, Memprechtshofen, Rheinbischofsheim, Hausgereut, Diersheim, Linx, Hohbuhn, Holzhausen and Honau. The center of town is located at the Rhine crossing to France and the southern region of Linx. Lutheran church Rheinbischhofsheim is 56 meters high and is the largest church in the area, built in 1876, remodeled in 1998.
