Rehna is a town in the Nordwestmecklenburg district, in Mecklenburg Western Pomerania, Germany. It is situated 26 kilometers from southeast of Lubeck and 28 kilometers from northwest of Schwerin. Mecklenburg Western Pomerania is a state in northern Germany. It has an area of 23,170 square kilometers, but has only 1.7 million inhabitants, making it the most sparsely populated German state. The Baltic Sea's beaches and islands, as well as the many lakes in the interior, attract many tourists every year. There are two universities and a number of universities of applied sciences.
Nordwestmecklenburg is a district in the northwestern part of Mecklenburg Western Pomerania, Germany. It is situated on the coast of the Baltic Sea and border on Schleswig Holstein. Neighboring districts are Bad Doberan, Gustrow, Parchim, the district free city Schwerin, the district Ludwigslust, and the district Lauenburg and the district free city Lubeck in Schleswig Holstein. The district free city Wismar north of the district is nearly surrounded by it. The district was created in 1994.
