Munsingen is a town in the district of Reutlingen, a district or Kreis in the middle of Baden-Wurttemberg, the southwestern part of the country to the east of the Upper Rhine. It is third largest in both area and population among the country's sixteen states, Germany. Reutlingen’s neighboring districts are, from north clockwise, Esslingen, Alb-Donau, Ostalbkreis, Biberach, Sigmaringen, Zollernalbkreis and Tubingen.
 
Munsingen is situated 23 kilometers southeast of Reutlingen, a city in Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany. It is the capital of the same-named district Reutlingen and 37 kilometers west of Ulm, a city in the German Bundesland of Baden-Württemberg, situated on the river Danube, about 90 kilometers south-east of Stuttgart and 140 kilometers north-west of Munich.
