Zell im Wiesental is a town in the district of Lorrach in Baden-Wurttemberg in Germany. It is situated in the Black Forest, on the river Wiese, 26 kilometers northeast of Basel, and 32 kilometer south of Freiburg. Baden-Wurttemberg is a state of the Federal Republic of Germany in the southwestern part of the country to the east of the Upper Rhine. It is third largest in both area and population among the country's sixteen states, with an area of 35,742 square kilometer and 10.7 million inhabitants. Its state capital is Stuttgart.

Like some of its sister municipalities and towns, Zell im Wiesental is blessed with beautiful surroundings and a unique natural setting. The picturesque scenery, the majesty of the mountains, the slow pace of life, and the welcoming nature of its people all combine to make this region one of the most important tourist attractions in Germany.
