Zell an der Mosel is a picturesque town in the district of Cochem-Zell in Germany. It has an area of 19,846 squared kilometers and about four million inhabitants.  It is famous for its white Riesling wines like Zeller Schwarze Katz. The river Mosel runs in the town and overflows every few years. It is an event, which the locals expect per year. A hospital and a home store known as Globus are the commercial centers on top of Zell-Barl, a suburb on a hill. It offers health care and general home shopping needs for families in all the nearby villages and towns.
 
The state of Rhineland-Palatinate was established on 30 August 1946. It was formed out of the northern part of the French Occupation Zone that consisted portions of Bavaria, the southern parts of the Prussian Rhine Province, parts of the Prussian Province of Nassau, and parts of Hesse-Darmstadt. The new state was confirmed by referendum on 18 May 1947. Rhineland-Palatinate is one of 16 Bundeslanders, federal states of Germany. The capital is Mainz.
