It is situated on the north side of the Wiehengebirge, roughly 20 kilometers north of Herford and 20 kilometers west of Minden. NRW, North Rhine-Westphalia is the largest federal state of Germany in terms of population and economic output.North Rhine-Westphalia has over 18 million inhabitants who contribute about 22 percent of Germany's gross domestic product and comprises a land area of 34,083 square kilometer.
