Germany is one of the largest European economy and the third largest economy in the world in real terms, placed behind the United States and Japan, and fifth behind the United States, China, India and Japan counted by purchasing power parity.
 
Lorsch is a small town in the Kreis Bergstrabe district of Hesse. It is in southwest Germany 60 kilometers south of Frankfurt and more than 12,000 people live in the town. It is the site of a Benedictine Lorsch Abbey, which used to be one of the greatest centers of Carolingian art. Several Carolingian kings of Germany were buried there. The abbey is also famous for the Lorsch Codex, which was produced there around the end of the 12th century. The abbey has been declared a World Heritage Site. The Niebelungenlied identifies Lorsch as the birth place of  Siegfried.

Lorsch is definitely one of the popular tourist attractions in Germany. It is worth paying a visit while touring the country. This place leaves a pleasing and unforgettable memory and justifies the proud cultural tradition of Germany.
