Bad Kotzting is a small town in the district of Cham, in Bavaria, Germany, near the Czech border. It is situated in the Bavarian Forest, 15 kilometers southeast of Cham. The Free State of Bavaria, with an area of 70,553 square kilometers or 27,241 square miles and 12.4 million inhabitants, forms the southernmost state of today's Germany. Its capital is Munich. The region north of the Alps was inhabited by Celts and was part of the Roman Empire until tribes from the East, the so-called Bayuvaren started to settle in the region in the 6th century AD.
