Kastellaun is a city and a municipality in the Rhein-Hunsruck district, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is located in the Hunsruck, approximately 11 kilometers northwest of Simmern, and 35 kilometers southwest of Koblenz.
Also Kastellaun is the seat of the Verbandsgemeinde is collective municipality. Kastellaun, which consists of the following local municipalities such as Alterkulz, Bell, Beltheim, Braunshorn, Buch, Dommershausen, Godenroth, Hasselbach, Hollnich, Kastellaun, Korweiler, Matershsausen, Michelbach, Roth, Spesenroth and Uhler.
