Kappeln in Danish known as Kappel, it is a municipality in the district of Schleswig-Flensburg, located in Germany. It is located on the north bank of the Schlei, approximately 30 kilometers northeast of Schleswig and 35 kilometers southeast of Flensburg.
 
Schleswig-Flensburg in Danish known as Slesvig-Flensborg, it is a district in Schleswig-Holstein, located in Germany. It is bounded from the south and clockwise the districts of Rendsburg-Eckernforde, Dithmarschen and Nordfriesland, the South Jutland County in Denmark, the city of Flensburg and the Baltic Sea.
