Germany is located in Central Europe and it shares borders with Denmark in the North, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and France in the West, Austria and Switzerland in the South and Poland and the Czech Republic in the East. The North Sea and the Baltic Sea represent additional National Borders in the North. The official language of Germany is German and Berlin is the capital. The climate is quite pleasant with almost all variety of seasonal flavors as temperate, marine, cool, cloudy, wet winters and summers, occasional warm, tropical foehn wind and high relative humidity.
 
Germany is divided into 16 states which are further subdivided into 439 districts and cities. Germany is one of the largest European economy and the third largest economy in the world in real terms, placed behind the United States and Japan, and fifth behind the United States, China, India and Japan counted by purchasing power parity.
 
Lobau is a municipality in the east of Saxony, Germany. The region is called Upper Lusatia. It is located half the way between the cities of Bautzen, Gorlitz and Zittau. The Free State of Saxony is a federal state of Germany. It has a land area of 18,413 square kilometers and a population of 4.3 million, the tenth largest in area and sixth largest in population among Germany's sixteen states.         
 
Lobau was first mentioned in 1221 as Oppidum Lubaw. In the time of the middle Ages, the city was a member of the Six City League of Upper Lusatia, consisting of the Lusatian cities Bautzen, Gorlitz, Kamenz, Lauban, Lobau and Zittau, which was established in 1346.

The sights of interest are town hall Lobau and King Friedrich August tower. The town hall of the city is a notable mixture of numerous architectural styles. The King Friedrich August Tower upon the Lobauer Berg is another well-known building in Lobau. The tower made of cast iron was built in 1854 on the Lobauer Berg and is 28 meter tall. It is the largest cast iron tower in Europe. It is a city with endless recreational opportunities, rich history, and modern day luxuries.
