Langen is a town in the district of Offenbach, Hesse, Germany. It is situated about 13 kilometers south of Frankfurt am Main. The city had a population of 35,269 in 2004. It covers an area of 29.12 square kilometers. Its population density is 1,211 square kilometers and it is elevated 143 meters above mean sea level.
Hesse is a state of Germany with an area of 21,110 square kilometers and just over six million inhabitants. The capital city of Hesse is Wiesbaden Kassel. Till 1945, its economic centre and largest city was near Frankfurt am Main and the surrounding Rhine Main Area. Langen can also be considered as the preeminent, historical and potential tourism destination that enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers to become one of the most visited places.
