Lahnstein is a town and a municipality in the Rhein-Lahn-Kreis, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is situated at the confluence of the rivers Lahn and Rhine, approximately 6 kilometers south of Koblenz. Sights in Lahnstein include the well known Lahneck castle, the Allerheiligenbergkapelle, Johanneskloster and the Rheinsteig. Rhineland-Palatinate is one of 16 Bundeslander that is federal states of Germany. It has an area of 19,846 square kilometers and about four million inhabitants. The capital of the town is Mainz. In Geography Rhineland-Palatinate borders on North Rhine-Westphalia, Hesse, Baden-Wurttemberg, France, Saarland, Luxembourg and Belgium.

It is also said the place of best geographical environment and can trace its origins back to prehistoric times. Lahnstein, justifiably so, enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers, and is one of the most visited place.
