It is the third largest state in both area and population with an area of 35,742 square kilometers and 10.7 million inhabitants. The state shares its border with Switzerland to the south and France to the west. Like some of its sister municipalities and towns in the Ostalbkreis, Heubach is blessed with beautiful surroundings and a unique natural setting. The picturesque scenery, the majesty of the mountains, the slow pace of life, and the welcoming nature of its people all combine to make this region one of the most important tourist attractions in Germany.
